EHS Participates in MENA ICT 2022 Forum

CEO of Electronic Health Solutions (EHS), Omar I. Ayesh participated in a workshop titled ‘Bridging Gaps and Future Trends in Healthcare’ that was held on the sidelines of the MENA ICT Forum 2022, which was organized by ‘Intaj’ under Royal patronage in the Dead Sea.

Ayesh said that, based on directions from His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, EHS was established to uphold an important role in shaping the future of healthcare in Jordan by following the latest technology systems through implementing Hakeem program and its electronic services.

Ayesh stated that the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise in healthcare costs accelerated the development of smart applications related to global healthcare.

He added that understanding of healthcare in Jordan has witnessed radical transformations over the past few years, thanks to the technologies provided by EHS to enhance the quality and efficiency of public healthcare services in the Kingdom, to contribute towards a more effective future for the health sector in the Kingdom.

Participants in the session discussed the role of changing technologies for the future of healthcare, particularly through patient empowerment and personalized treatment plans, by using artificial intelligence to diagnose patients. Investments in artificial intelligence in healthcare are expected to increase from $11 billion to $188 billion by the end of the decade.

Ayesh, through a presentation, highlighted several of the company's core values, most notably its future vision and its focus on empowering patients and healthcare providers. In addition to updating big data to reach the best health decisions through the Health Data Analytics program (HDA), the company's future goal is to introduce business and artificial intelligence solutions in the health sector, so that it coincides with the e-governance artificial intelligence strategy. 

As for empowering patients, Ayesh stated that ‘My Hakeem’ application is one of several applications and technological solutions recently launched by the company, aiming to enable its users to access their electronic health records on Hakeem program, in addition to making it easier for dispensing monthly medications for chronic illnesses and patients who are unable to visit healthcare institutions, through offering an electronic payment gateway and the ability to request home delivery of medication through the application.
